Untethered Jailbreak iOS 8.2 and 8.3 Now ! Or Waiting iOS 8.4 !

iOS 8.2 and 8.3 Now ! Or Waiting !

As many apple’s users, we have been waiting for the cracking community to release a jailbreak tool for the current 8.2 or 8.3 version of the iPhone operating system, we have been discussing the need for one around messaging boards pretty much since the operating system came out. So far though, there is no tool in sight , and what’s worse, it seems like we aren’t ever going to get one ( at least in the meaning time ) , as Hackers might just jump to iOS 8.4 instead when it releases instead.

The new version of the operating system is reportedly scheduled for a release very soon, so most members of the Hacking community have already started preparing their tools for that instead, and don’t want to waste their efforts jailbreaking two separate versions of the OS so close to each other, especially when most people are just going to upgrade to 8.4 when it comes out. At least if they have a jailbreak tool for it.

There have been some issues surrounding the jailbreak process lately too, as Apple have been releasing new security measures for the operating system in order to counteract the efforts of jailbreak experts, and even though there has been a lot of confidence from the community that the issue is going to be resolved soon, that didn’t happen till now.

But on the other hand, iOS 8.4 brings about various improvements which will make it an attractive choice for the operating system’s users, and we would expect a large majority of them to just upgrade to the new version. That should make it the current target for jailbreak programmers in return.

According to many previews, the new version of iOS fixes all currently known security vulnerabilities that allow for jailbreaking to occur, but of course it’s probably only a matter of time before users discover something new. It only takes one small vulnerability in order to open up the entire operating system, and considering how fast users have been in discovering these hacks so far, we can expect that it won’t take too long for the new version of the OS to be jailbroken.

Of course, some would point to the current state of as an indication of the opposite, but this could be explained with the lower popularity of the OS version among hackers, due to the knowledge of the impending release of iOS 8.4. Not many experts put any serious effort into getting the OS cracked, and we expect to see more activity surrounding iOS 8.4 The beta version of the OS was already jailbroken, for what it’s worth – but of course, we can expect that Apple have patched that specific vulnerability before the release of the full version of the operating system. Part of the point of these beta tests is to sort out issues like this one exactly, and it looks like crackers will have to find another window of opportunity to exploit the OS.

Knowing the way previous versions of the OS have been jailbroken though, we can safely assume that the vulnerability that everyone is looking for will be discovered quickly enough. If not, there’s always – and whether or not users will have to wait for that one to come out to get their jailbreak depends entirely on the popularity of the current version.

If enough people end up upgrading to it, then the jailbreak community will also have a good incentive to come out with a patch – otherwise there’s probably not a very good chance that we’ll see this happening.
